I had no idea where to begin when I first reached out. The guidance meeting gave me a clear picture of what my options were under Thai law — explained calmly, without any rush. I did not feel pushed toward anything. That mattered a great deal to me at that point.

As a foreigner, I was concerned that the legal process here would be difficult to follow. Sirinda took time to explain everything in plain English and checked that I understood each step before continuing. I still found the process stressful, but much less so than I had expected. Communication was prompt throughout.

My husband and I used the mediation service to work through parenting arrangements. Pakorn helped us keep the conversation focused without it becoming argumentative. We left with an agreement we both felt was fair. I don't think we would have got there without that structure.

I want to mention Nattaya specifically — she was the first person I spoke to and immediately made me feel that reaching out had been the right decision. The whole experience from that first call to the end of my matter was handled with care. I would recommend Kularb to anyone facing something similar.

The guidance meeting was helpful, though I ended up not needing to proceed further — my situation turned out to be less complex than I had thought. Kularb did not make me feel bad about that or try to create a reason to proceed. That honesty made a good impression.

Twelve weeks from first contact to conclusion. At every stage I knew exactly what was happening and what the next step would be. The fixed fee meant I wasn't watching hours accumulate. I had used other legal services before and this was genuinely different — more attentive and considerably more human.

Case Studies

Three journeys, briefly told

Details have been changed to protect privacy. These stories reflect the kinds of situations Kularb supports.

A first meeting that led to clarity, not complexity

The situation

A woman in her forties came to Kularb unsure whether her circumstances required legal action or simply legal understanding. She had been navigating a separation for several months and had received conflicting informal advice from people around her.

What we did

A Family Guidance Meeting. We listened carefully, mapped out her legal position under Thai law, and explained the options available — including one she had not previously been aware of. We gave her written notes to take home.

The outcome

She chose not to proceed with any formal service at that point. Four months later, she returned for mediation support and reached a workable arrangement within three sessions. She told us the initial meeting had helped her think clearly for the first time in months.

"I wasn't sure if I even had a 'legal situation'. By the end of the meeting I understood what I was actually dealing with."

Two parents, a difficult conversation, a lasting agreement

The situation

Two parents with two children had decided to separate and wanted to put parenting arrangements in place cooperatively. They were largely aligned but had some points of difference they could not resolve on their own.

What we did

Three mediation sessions — two joint, one with each parent separately. We helped them articulate their concerns and find language that worked for both. The agreement was drafted, reviewed twice, and finalised over six weeks.

The outcome

A written parenting plan agreed by both parties, covering daily care, school holidays, and communication. Both parents reported feeling the process had been respectful of their situation and not adversarial. The children's routine was disrupted as little as possible.

"We left each session having moved forward. That was more than we managed on our own."

Representation through a formal process, explained at every stage

The situation

A man in his fifties needed formal representation for a family matter that had moved into official proceedings. He had no prior experience of formal legal processes in Thailand and found the prospect of appearing in any official capacity very difficult.

What we did

Full matter support over approximately eleven weeks. All documents prepared and reviewed with him before submission. Attendance at proceedings with a written summary of what had happened provided after each one. No stage was entered without his clear understanding.

The outcome

The matter concluded with an outcome that reflected his interests. He described the process as less frightening than expected. He has since referred two other people to Kularb — which we consider the most meaningful measure of how a client has found working with us.

"I always knew what was happening. That made a very difficult period manageable."
